Paz Jazz! was created to provide an opportunity for student musicians in the Pasadena Unified School District to perform for judges and attend clinics for jazz. It is an all day event that is produced, financially supported and hosted by The Oboe Foundation. This is the only opportunity of its kind in the area. Both students and music teachers are excited each year as they show their talents and improve their jazz skills.
Paz Jazz is back!
The OBOE Foundation has brought Paz Jazz back after a four year COVID hiatus. This year, we are inviting the public to a free concert at John Muir High School on Monday, May 13th at 5PM. The concert will feature the jazz bands of John Muir High School, Pasadena High School, Blair High School and Marshall Fundament High School. Also performing with be the John Tirabasso Youth Jazz Ensemble and, as a special guest performer, Nolan Shaheed and his jazz combo.
The Oboe Foundation is partnering with PUSD Arts to bring this wonderful event to the Pasadena community.
