OUR MISSION

The OBOE Foundation provides support to instrumental music programs in our schools, focusing on instructional and developmental opportunities for students through strategic partnerships, community association and educational outreach.

We are working with our community and industry leaders to provide every opportunity for students to take advantage of all that music offers.

OUR TEAM

Brad Ratliff

Brad's passion for music has evolved from his days as a student and performer through his current passion for sharing the benefits that instrumental music has on our children.  As the President of the Tournament of Roses, he and his wife, Susan, traveled the world sharing the positive effects that instrumental music has on our kids and our cultures.

Susan Ratliff

From her days as a Girl Scout leader through her involvement with OBOE, Susan has been active in community support.  She volunteers for the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House and works closely with it's annual fundraiser.  Among other civic commitments, she also is a docent at the Norton Simon Museum My Materpieces 5th grade outreach program.

Rob Lee

Rob's leadership abilities have been a significant part of his life.

From leading Bible study groups as a teen through his position as a professor, now retired, at Pasadena City College, his interest in educating youth has been a driving force in his life.

Dwight Garcia

Having received his degree in Music Performance from Occidental College, Dwight plays in different groups and assists John Muir High School in its instrumental music program.  As a Pastor, Dwight understands the commitment to our community, to others and to those who support the needs of others.

"The language of music says it all...

without saying a word."
